…cream puffs, chocolates, tarts, Babas, Brighelle, cannoncini, girelle, Sfogliatelle, the classic delizia cake and apple pie, Sacher cake, rich in Chocolate, and the Setteveli cake, that is made up with dark chocolate mousse, hazelnuts praline and seven layers of crisp chocolate (the veils). For the cold dessert lovers there’s a wide choice of ice cream cakes, tronchetti (a sort of rolled cake) and semifreddo.
From the Sicilian recipe here below, our best production is :
fresh cassata, small cassatine with ricotta cheese that are baked in the oven, zuccata. typical Sicilian pastry arriving from a kind of trumpet shaped pumpkin, (the so called “Virmiciddara”,) and Cannoli, very well know products which have been appreciated throughout the world: they are cooked, stuffed with fresh ricotta and candied fruits then sprinkled with sugar powder.
In our handmade workshop we have an exclusively dedicated department for the dry pastry. Our specialized confectioners create with their skillful hands our butter biscuits, fritters, quince, sweets with pistachio of Bronte and Avola almonds ,carob sweets, pumpkin pastries, pignolatas, rum and coffee sospiri and the typical magic fruit made up according to the original recipe with exclusively almond flour and honey. It is very similar to the original one in the shape and in the choice of fruits: very sweet and tasty prickly pears, apples, kiwis, oranges and tangerines.
Every day throughout the year, we produce the nougat with Avola almond, pistachio of Bronte, hazelnuts and honey and the torroncini with lemon, orange, pistachio, white chocolate and dark chocolate.
